Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis)

Spirulina is a blue-green algae like Klamath Blue Green Algae, but it is single-celled and so slightly more primative. In fact, it has probably been on the planet for over 3 billion years. Spirulina tends to be a cultivated algae because, being single-celled, it is difficult to harvest cleanly from the wild. Spirulina is one of the richest sources of carotenoids, including beta carotene, amino acids, minerals and many other nutritional components. KBG Super-3 spirulina is grown organically to ensure purity. And because, like Klamath above, it has a soft cell wall, these nutrients are readily available and assimilable. The high quality spirulina in KBG Super-3 is gently dried to maintain nutritional integrity.
